Sa’ad Bashirat is a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology, University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. She holds a PhD in Microbiology. Her research interest spans Food and Pharmaceutical Microbiology, with a broader focus on alternative strategies to conventional antibiotics and chemical preservatives. Her work explores the use of natural bioactive compounds, microbial metabolites, and plant-derived products in the control of pathogenic and food spoilage microorganisms. She has contributed to research on antimicrobial peptides and other bioactive agents with potential applications in food safety and pharmaceutical systems. Her scholarly output has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
