Ganiyu Pacy Oyeyiola, is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin with over 35 years teaching, research, and administrative experience. He was two-term Head of the Department and has served both the Facullty and the University at different levels. He has supervised more than 400 undergraduate students, more than 60 Masters and more than 10 PhD students to completion. He has more than 60 publications to his credits in reputable national and international journals. He is a member of several professional bodies within and outside the country. His research interest covers areas such as Mycology, Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology.
Prof. Ganiyu Pacy Oyeyiola’s teaching and research areas are primarily in food and environmental microbiology. His expertise encompasses the study of microorganisms in relation to food safety, quality, and environmental health. He is involved in teaching courses that cover microbiological principles applied to food systems and environmental contexts, focusing on microbial ecology, foodborne pathogens, and microbial interactions in the environment
