Dr. Rahmat Folashade Zakariyah

Rahmat Folashade Zakariyah is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin that have been engaging in teaching and research for more than ten years. She has been an Academic adviser and engages in numerous Departmental and Faculty committees and subcommittees tasked with administrative responsibilities.

Her research interest is in the bioactivities of natural products targeting drug discovery. She is presently working on synthesis of bioactive fractions from endophytic fungi and assessment of mechanism of action of the synthesized compounds on ESKAPE pathogens. She has publications in high impact journals to her credit.
