Toyin Olayemi Agbabiaka is a Professor of Environmental Microbiology in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Life Sciences of University of Ilorin holds a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology and had spent 15 years as a lecturer. He is presently the faculty representative in the University Senate, and has held such positions as Postgraduate Coordinator, SIWES Coordinator for the department as well as the faculty representative in the CBT and University Senate Committees among others. He has supervised over 225 undergraduate and postgraduate students and has 45 publications in local, national and international journals. His research interest includes Environmental Microbiology, Antimicrobials, Plants Extracts, Nanoparticles and Environmental Health. He has an award of Institutional-Based Research Fund (IBRF) grant by TETFund.
