Olatunji Matthew KOLAWOLE, is a Professor in the Department of M
icrobiology, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin with
over 18 years college teaching, research, and administrative ex
perience. He is a visiting Professor and IAS Fellow at the Unive
rsity of Warwick, Coventry United Kingdom. As the National coord
inator on Poliovirus laboratory containment and member of Minist
erial Expert Advisory Committee on COVID-19-Health Sector Response, he has coordinated national programs on infectious diseases
eradication in Nigeria and African continent. He served as Head, Department of Microbiology; Pioneer Director, Institute of Molecular Science and Biotechnology and the Managing Editor, Nigeria
n Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences, University of Ilorin.
He has over 200-published articles in peer reviewed national and international journals, conference proceedings and papers read as well as chapters in books. He has graduated 10-Ph.Ds., 45-M.Sc., and 236-B.Sc. students with ongoing undergraduate/postgraduate supervisions. Professor Kolawole has won many research grants at national and international levels and a member of many professional bodies.
